About Our Custom Packaging Services

We began our journey by focusing on Mil-Spec packaging. However, after receiving a call from a local business inquiring about our ability to provide wooden crates and several more inquiries within a week, we decided to expand our services to meet the growing demand.

We relocated to an old pattern shop where all machinery operated on a single motor and belts. Our inaugural order was for crates designed for NASA tubing, measuring 25 feet in length. We had to extend one end out of a window to complete the assembly, which was done manually using hammers. We also manufactured specialized corrugated cartons (W5c, V3c, double wall, etc.) by hand. Because we handled everything ourselves, the quality of our work was unparalleled, and we frequently receive feedback from individuals in manufacturing facilities who can identify our crates solely by their quality.

We continue to uphold this standard, even with significant growth over the years, as evidenced by the photo gallery on our website. We now operate with 80,000 sq. ft of space, serving an ever-growing list of both large corporations and mom-and-pop operations. Despite offers to sell to large corporations and even to an overseas interest, we have steadfastly preserved our independence and commitment to providing hands-on support across our solutions.

At Quality Support, LLC, clients interact directly with the individuals responsible for their projects, which enhances our flexibility compared to larger corporations.

For instance, a company from Harrisburg once approached us to package a large Navy Cam Shaft to Mil-Std 2073. They had previously collaborated with a franchise in Philadelphia that attempted the packaging three times, each of which was rejected by the government inspector. Once the project arrived at our facility, it was approved by the DCAS Inspector within a week. Although the franchise claimed extensive experience in Mil-Spec packaging, this does not ensure the competence of the individual franchisee, who also lacks the agility to make prompt decisions.

Quality Support, LLC was also among the first to implement IPPC-15 / ISPM-15 programs and NIST SP 800-171 compliance requirements. Our Quality Manager supports pre-planning efforts before orders are released to production and then develops a quality plan. Any feedback regarding quality triggers the generation of a Cause & Corrective Action Report that is distributed to all management levels, including senior management.
